About Molly M. Walters
Hi! My name is Molly, an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (#157690) supervised by Alegra Kastens, LMFT (#001932) at The Center for OCD, Anxiety, and Eating Disorders. I obtained a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University.
Based in Southern California, I specialize in the treatment of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Anxiety Disorders, and OCD-related Disorders like Dermatillomania and Trichotillomania, and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
My clinical work focuses on evidence-based treatments, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Exposure & Response Prevention, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, and mindfulness skills training. I also incorporate Internal Family Systems (IFS) and attachment-based techniques as necessary, and respect each client’s unique story.
My clinical training includes work with young adult populations at community mental health centers, including a psychiatric hospital in Prague. Having prior experience in the medical field, I am passionate about helping clients understand the brain-body connection, equipping them with tools that target both the racing mind and the tense body.
I believe recovery from anxiety and OCD is possible not just in theory, but in lived experience. My role is to guide clients in building a life that feels freer, calmer, and more aligned with their values. Therapy with me is collaborative, warm, and practical, rooted in both science and compassion.
Outside the office, I draw inspiration from travel, art, and movement practices like yoga, which I integrate into my work when appropriate. These mind-body tools help clients reconnect with their sense of agency, resilience, and self-trust.
I am seeing clients virtually in the states of California and Florida.

Modalities
I take an eclectic approach, blending ERP, CBT, and IFS to create a tailored treatment plan that targets both the symptoms of anxiety and OCD and the deeper patterns beneath them.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
CBT focuses on identifying and shifting unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors. It provides practical strategies for managing anxiety, reducing stress, and building healthier ways of thinking and coping.
Internal Family Systems Therapy
IFS is a gentle, insight-oriented approach that helps clients explore the different “parts” of themselves—such as the anxious part, the self-critical part, or the protective part—and fosters more self-compassion, balance, and inner harmony.
Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy
ERP is the gold-standard treatment for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). It helps clients gradually face anxiety-provoking thoughts or situations while resisting the urge to engage in compulsions, breaking the cycle of fear and avoidance.
